We are looking for a Stock Controller - Assembly based at our Head Office in Denver.

About the role
Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for stock controller functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that all stock received conform to required specifications.
• Ensure that the correct stock items and quantity are received and binned.
• Bin stock after it has been receipted.
• Accurate controlling of received stock, also on ERP system.
• Housekeeping and SHE responsibility.
• Assisting with stock counts.
• Managing return of stock, as required.
• Verifying stock availability on planned jobs.
• Ensuring the proper allocation of picking slip to picking staff and assisting with picking stock when needed.
• Ensuring the quick and accurate transfer of stock between warehouses.
• Ensuring that a proper paper trail is maintained when handing goods over to manufacturing.
• Identifying and receiving stock back from manufacturing on a weekly basis to reduce the amount of unused stock on the manufacturing floor.
• Ensuring a constant rate of picking in advance is maintained, ie. picking of stock needs to be done at least one day in advance to reduce manufacturing downtime.

Desired Experience & Qualification

About you:
• National Senior Certificate / Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (Completed)
• 2 – 5 Years experience in a similar role
• Effective planning and organisational skills.
• Computer skills, including relevant Syspro (ERP) proficiency.
• Able to multi-task.
• A relevant qualification will be an advantage.
• Working according to all required policies, procedures and instructions.
• Product Knowledge.
• Strong sense of responsibility.
• Forklift license will be an advantage
• Provide support to Management in all aspects.
• Conduct and Manage inventory control of incoming and outgoing material.
• Ensure inventory is measured according to inventory control measures.
• Prevent financial loss by implementing, controlling and monitoring inventory levels.
• Accurately analyse production input with production output. Minimizing waste and loss.
• Maintenance of all inventory control, quality and safety records.
• Create appropriate organizational, environmental and value systems which stimulate the morale and productivity of the workforce and its leadership.
• Collaborate with production staff to ensure that inventory goals, quality goals and safety standards are met.
• Works with Management to develop action plans to maximize efficiency.
• Oversee activities to achieve inventory control, production targets, quality and safety goals.
• Actively delegates, monitors and holds factory staff responsible for their performance according to management instructions.
• Assist in directing and supervising production floor employees according to instructions from management.
• Assist in determining the adequacy of adjusting inventory levels of all goods and supplies necessary for the operation.
• Ensure employees maintain the factory in a neat, clean condition and all equipment is kept in good working order according to safety standards.
• Construct and submit timely and accurate reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis as required.
• Keep Management informed of any inventory irregularities within Manufacturing, providing action plans to improve and correct deficiencies.
• Assist in development and implementation of corrective actions.
• Inspection of all incoming raw materials according to inventory control measures, and quality standards.
• Checks finished products by confirming specifications; conducting inspection and relevant tests; returning products for re-work; and confirming re-work.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste.
• Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Accomplishes company mission by completing related results as needed.
• Prepare and submit reports to management when required.
• Performs other duties as required
