R 30 000 - R 40 000 Monthly Basic Salary (Market related, Negotiable) Business Analyst - East Rand, Gauteng (Hybrid position)  Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, documenting, and improving existing automated processes. This role will also involve identifying and addressing technical and process debt to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within the insurance industry.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Informatio Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Relevant certifications in Business Analysis are a plus.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business analysis, process improvement, or a similar role.Proven experience in the insurance sector, preferably within funeral insurance.Strong understanding of automated processes, workflow management, and technical debt.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong documentation and technical writing abilities.Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Draw.io) and business analysis software.Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Responsibilities:Process Review and Documentation:Conduct comprehensive reviews of all existing automated processes.Document current processes, workflows, and system interactions in detail.Develop and maintain process maps, diagrams, and related documentation.Process Improvement:Analyze documented processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.Recommend and design improvements to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.Work with IT and other departments to implement process changes and improvements.Technical Debt Assessment:Collaborate with the development team to identify and document areas of technical debt within the existing systems and processes.Prioritize technical debt items based on impact and urgency.Collaborate with the development team to address and mitigate technical debt.Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with various stakeholders including IT, operations, and management to understand requirements and gather insights.Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and discuss process improvements.Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders effectively.Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze process-related data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to management and stakeholders.
