2024-08-21 - 2024-09-20 PERMANENT JHB001946 ENGINEERING&TECHNICAL Gauteng , Boksburg Monthly (Market related) As a Torque Calibration Laboratory Technician , you will be an integral part of a global team dedicated to providing calibration services across Sub-Saharan Africa. Reporting directly to the Calibration Laboratory Manager within the Service Business Line, your role will be to enhance customer satisfaction by delivering professional calibration services, developing calibration capabilities, and promoting quality awareness and our client's service products. Duties and Responsibilities Perform equipment calibrations following national and international standards. Handle regular audits and certifications. Ensure traceability of measuring equipment and results. Contribute to solving quality assurance issues. Manage customer equipment calibrations within turnaround time (TAT) KPIs. Provide calibration quotes and tenders based on customer requirements. Improve existing calibration procedures and develop new ones. Assist in maintaining and improving the laboratory management system and daily tasks. Support team members with daily scheduled tasks, both in the laboratory and on-site. Collaborate with product specialists and production companies. Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Support sales and project teams in quality assurance matters. Requirements: Hands-on experience in quality assurance. Solid education, preferably a Bachelor's degree, in mechanics or electronics. MetCert in the torque metrology field Valid Metrology Certification is a must . Experience in ISO Audits. Preferable knowledge of torque calibrations and/or metrology. Proficiency in English, both oral and written. Strong computer skills, including MS Office. Knowledge of relevant norms and standards. Valid driver's license. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data and results. High attention to detail. Strong reliability. Good teamwork skills. Resilience and goal orientation. Self-motivated.
