Responsibilities:Ensure access to and familiarity with all policies and procedures applicable to the jobReceive tasks/duties from the shift technician and or process engineerObtain the correct process instructions for the job to be performedSet-up the assembly jigs and fixtures/machinery and equipment as per the process instructions and adjust the necessary to ensure acceptable quality and quantity productionEnsure set-ups and line changes are carried out with minimum interruptions of the production and maximum attention to minimizing set-up/line-change timesCheck the operation on a regular basis during the production cycle and ensure that the required quality and quantity (cycle times) are maintainedCheck all unused tools, jigs and fixtures for damage and ensure same are stored in correct locationsmaintain high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices at all timesto ensure that all activities within the area of responsibilities are performed in compliance with the company policies and procedures, and legislation with specific emphasis on health and safety, and environmental aspectsundertake the safe and efficient installation of all new mechanical and electrical equipment, plant, and machinery as directedprompt and efficient attendance to all breakdowns and stoppages due to electrical/mechanical failure/faultconduct inspections and preventative maintenance of all electrical/mechanical equipment, plant, and machinery as directedperformance of shift, overtime (subject to legislated constraints) and stand-by duties in accordance with departmental rosters or as directed by managementundertake any other task, projects or duties as allocated by management from time to time RequirementsElectrical/Mechanical/Millwright qualificationRobotic programmingHotplate, vibration, and ultrasonic welding, andAssembly environment knowledge and experience advantageous Due to the high volume of applications received, only suitable candidates who meet the criteria of this vacancy will be contacted.
