Tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Production Management or Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering Minimum 3 years of experience in production management ideally within a body builder operation Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing system principles Working knowledge of applicable labour and OCHSA regulations/ laws Effective leadership, organizational and excellent communication, and time management skills COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS Demonstrates commitment to safety and housekeeping Exhibits ethical behaviours, including honesty, integrity, and trust Interpersonal skills: sets an example as a powerful, prolific communicator who motivates and inspires others Collaborates with others to drive results Ability to motivate and build effective teams Focused on results: set goals that stretch the team, accept responsibility for the performance of the workgroup, and hold others accountable for results Leading change: champion for continuous improvement and simplification across the organization Strategic agility: can direct actions in line with long-term strategic objectives Ability to work cross-functionally and across all levels of the organization (people management skills) Ability to work independently and well with teams Highest level of technical competence, problem-solving skills, innovation, and initiative Computer literacy, knowledge and experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows Decision-making: analyse complex situations, identify root causes, and make sound decisions RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and motivate the production teams to achieve performance targets Managing the manufacturing/ fabrication processes Ensuring that body applications are built following specifications, meeting regulatory and customer requirements Achieving the production schedule, quality and cost targets Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives #J-18808-Ljbffr
