Minimum Requirements Candidates that meet the minimum requirement stipulated below are invited to apply:The ideal candidate MUST have:Graduate Degree in Engineering relevant to manufacturing and plant managementGCC (Plant Engineering - Factories)Grade 1210 years + relevant Maintenance and Engineering Experience including:Manufacturing Processes;Mechanical & Hydraulic Presses;Automated Welding Equipment;Powder Coating;PLC;Robotics and Automation;Maintenance Management Practices;Budget and Cost Control;Project work;OHS Act 85 of 1993;Leadership, Management and Organisational Skills Attributes, Competencies and Experience (A.C.E.) Preference will be given to relevant candidates that demonstrate experience and knowledge of:Appliance, automotive and steel manufacturing industriesOccupational Health and Safety Act, 1993, and relevant regulationsParticipation in Management Development ProgramsMaintenance Management Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all maintenance activities including repair, installation and upgrade of all company assets. The plant engineer will also:Define and implement a clear and measurable maintenance strategyManage Plant and Machinery budgets.Optimize maintenance effectiveness by:Maintenance ManagementManaging of all maintenance resources.Optimising the scheduling and prioritising of maintenance tasks.Training, performance and performance appraisals of allocated personnel.Co-operation and partnership with all departments.Ensure Legal requirements of OHSACT are complied with.Focus on continuous improvement thereby optimising production efficiency, quality & cost.Perform any task as reasonably required or assigned by a superior.
