The Opportunity This will be a really interesting, progressive and rewarding role for an ambitious Finance Analyst / Commercial Analyst / Business Analyst. It’s a growing wholesale / ecommerce group amid a phase of significant change and investment.Your role is focused on providing valuable insights, reporting, MI and commentary to the department heads across the business. You’ll be slicing and dicing data from all areas of the business and creating summaries that challenge and influence tactical and strategic decision making. You’ll be reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance in a role that will include plenty of business partnering.You’ll have chance to get away from your desk (and Excel / Power BI!) to talk through what is happening in the business, what the numbers are telling you and where opportunity lives!It’s a chance to work with non finance colleagues to look at trends in departmental spending, drivers of revenue, product performance, competitor analysis, profit streams and the levers of growth, customer activity and patterns in customer spending, the impact of promotions…. Commercially focused and intriguing questions that should be exciting to investigate and shed light on. Ability to interrogate raw data to provide valuable insights and MI for departments leaders and the senior leadership team. Common sense and business acumen – ability to translate the numbers into real life conclusions and suggestions. Ability to build relationships with colleagues across all areas of the group. You’ll be a natural team player. A relevant degree would be useful (accounting and finance / economics / business analysis / business management) Outstanding analytical and Excel / Power BI / Access awareness.
