Job Summary• Job Description SummaryThe purpose of the role is to ensure adequate governance of applicable policies and standards, through daily management of breaches, ensuring that applicable controls are in place and remain effective through ongoing assurance and control testing, thereby ensuring policies and standards remain fit for purpose.Job DescriptionAccountability: Staff Expense and Business Travel Policy Governance and Control:Documenting, review and maintenance of the Staff Expense and Business Travel Standard;Review of escalated Staff expense breaches, exceptions and queries as well as Corporate Card Limit management;Management of Dispensations, Waivers and Breaches as it pertains to the Staff Expense and Business Travel Standard and the Corporate Card Terms of Use Standard.Drive the implementation of the Staff Expense and Business Travel Standard for continuous monitoring of associated risks and controls.Central point of contact with Financial Services South Africa (FSSA) audit team on staff expenses, business travel and corporate card related matters;Design, validate, analyse and review of Staff Expense and Corporate Card exception reports including reporting to FM Management;Generate accurate, timely and complete reports and dashboards, as required, monthly, quarterly and/or adhoc providing key metrics and decision enabling information on business units.Ensure the Staff Expense and Business Travel Standard remains fit for purpose, drives appropriate cost management conduct, and is commercially appropriate.Ensure SAP Concur and Travel booking system are aligned to the Standard ;Assist with special reviews as it pertains to Corporate Card misuse.AssuranceExecute conformance reviews against frameworks, policies, and standards.Perform comprehensive independent conformance testing.Report all material concerns and issues as appropriate, utilizing the Operational Risk Management System (ORMS), and through risk and control governance committees, thus ensuring that senior management is fully aware of any key concerns that may impact the function.Develop an in-depth knowledge of Absa and the various business areas and use this knowledge to execute on assurance responsibilities.Ensure delivery adheres to appropriate methodologies and quality standards.Identify opportunities for using data analytics and enhanced automated control-testing techniques.
