Job Description: Maintenance Engineer Our client based in Ottery, Cape Town is looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer. Qualification / Experience: Qualification: B.Eng/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Experience: At least 2 years in the same position/field or 4 years as a technician Project Management experience Mechatronics background experience Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred Skills: Management Skills Good People Skills Takes Ownership&Accountability Effective Planning Skill Effective Time Management Effective Priority Management Good Communication Skill Ability to write SOPs Technical Mindset Ability to make decisions Work Shifts Proven Track Record of successful root cause analysis Proven Track Record of downtime planning Focused and attuned to risk mitigation Responsibilities: Maximize machine uptime by implementing effective planned preventative maintenance plans for the maintenance team to execute Minimize machine downtime and waste by identifying and driving effective corrective action through a reliable corrective action system (Job Card System) Ensure all maintenance systems and plans adhere to BRC, ISO and FDA regulations Lead Technicians to Prioritize and plan corrective actions Optimize Technicians’ efficiency by implementing effective processes (e.g. Performances Reviews, development plans etc.) Provide Technical resources to support other business functions on technical tasks.
