Overall purpose of the role: To manage a National portfolio of clients as well as a team of Healthcare Consultants. To support and guide Principal Consultants on strategic consulting to employer groups within their portfolios. To co-ordinate and facilitate at a strategic level between various role players across the value chain, such as medical schemes, GAP cover providers, primary health insurance providers, etc. on behalf of clients and consultants within the portfolio, with the ultimate objective of overseeing the relationship of a portfolio of clients and in some instances working with Principal Consultants. Be overall responsible for the healthcare consulting capability, ensure adherence to compliance as a Key Individual, quality, sound and best advice, and to ultimately retain and increase the clients under management overall. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring that the healthcare consulting area is operating optimally. Ensuring the profitability of the business, as well as ensuring that new business targets are met Technical excellence in servicing corporate clients Ensuring TCF in client interaction through credible and qualified accredited consulting service and best advice Facilitating and co-ordinating internally as well as with other stakeholders Self and team development Build client relationships and ensure client retention Ensure that the overall quality standard of meeting packs, minutes and consulting advice is maintained Attend client committee meetings in support of the team at a strategic level where necessary Provide monthly Manco reporting via required reports on operating functions of portfolio Direct employee training to improve efficiency Ensure that standard procedures, practices and client servicing are maintained and adhered to Risk awareness and the proactive management and mitigation of these risks Awareness of regulatory legislation and developments within the industry Deliver on budgets and targets Be instrumental in continuously demonstrating Simeka’s Health vision to become a thought leader Participation in growing the business Ensure that all compliance related aspects within the portfolio is adhered to Qualification and Experience: B-Com Degree or BA Law / LLB or equivalent NQF level CFP advantageous FAIS and CMS accreditation required. Must be a Key Individual (RE5 and RE1 successfully completed) Own car and driver’s license Minimum of 7 years corporate healthcare consulting experience is required Knowledge and Skills: A proven track record of managing large people areas are advantageous Experience in managing Profit&Loss Strategic thinking and understanding of employee benefit policies e.g. healthcare subsidy policy, etc. Knowledge of healthcare and wider financial services industry and process Product knowledge and understanding of all healthcare related products and services.
