These jobs were popular with other job seekers A leading supplier of petroleum products in Southern Africa is seeking for a Finance Analyst to join their team for a 6 months FTC.Thisposition provides financial analysis and cost reporting for the Cape TownRefinery as part of the Finance Team.Responsibilitiesinclude supporting refinery cost centre owners with monthly financialinformation & analysis of their results to improve decision-making,identifying areas of financial control weakness to be addressed, understandingthe effect of business drivers on the refinery’s financial performance and providingstrategic financial advice to the business unit with the aim of improving theirbusiness performance. Duties & ResponsibilitiesBase Business KPI’s:Process monthly opex accruals & ensure monthlyaccount reconciliations are performed on time. Liaise with BU contacts toensure accrued items are timeously cleared from the accruals account.Produce monthly cost reporting & coordinatecost review meetings with cost centre owners. Leverage financial acumen to influence businessdecision-making with the goal of meeting opex budgetary targets.Perform monthly variance analysis of actual vsbudget on operating expenses (opex) and provide explanations for variances forsubmission to head office reporting team and other stakeholders (EXCO, ultimateshareholder)Coordinate monthly 24-month rolling forecast forrefinery opex – gather inputs from key stakeholders, review for reasonabilityand accuracy, consolidate, present for business unit leader approval.Coordinate annual opex business planning – gatherinputs from key stakeholders, review for reasonability and accuracy,consolidate, present for business unit leader approval.Prepares and presentsdivisional opex financial reports and variance explanations as required by RefineryLeadership Team at monthly governance meeting.Ad-hoc KPI’s:Provide financial guidance to refinery businessunit (Example of guidance and support include accounting policy & IFRSinterpretation and application, tax implications of proposed actions, *** vs.opex decisions etc.)Participate in specialprojects as directed by Manager, Refinery Finance. Projects are focused oncontinuous improvement in the areas of cost (SAP, ARIBA, cost reporting).Desired Experience & QualificationFully qualified CA(SA) or CIMA non-negotiable2-5 yearsof experience post qualification highly preferable, especially experience incost analysis and reportingStrongfinancial, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStronginterpersonal and presentation skills, with ability and confidence to work wellwith a broad spectrum of personnel across the organization and constructivelyprovide guidance within a team environment.SAP andexperience knowledge would count in candidate’s favour.Package & RemunerationShould you not receive a response within 14 days, please consider your application as unsuccessful.These jobs were popular with other job seekers#J-18808-Ljbffr
