To complete application or software design under guidance; creation testing and documentation of new and amended programme from supplier specifications in accordance with agreed standards and to conduct basic impact analysis. Job Responsibilities Build and maintain collaborative relationships through communication with internal and external stakeholders Ensure software delivered meet client needs by collaborating with business analysts and other stakeholders Build relationships with individuals; team; managers and peers by collaborating with and supporting internal and external teams Deliver and maintain key strategic initiatives by driving workflow through the team Deliver quality solutions meeting business requirements by applying appropriate Project methodology and software engineering principles Monitor and manage team efficiency by tracking individual performance against performance indicators Ensure transformational target are met for own team through consideration of targets during the staff recruitment; retention and training process and utilising suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives Participate in the development and implement action plans to address issues raised in culture surveys to improve results Address issues raised in culture surveys by participating in the development and implementation of action plans Create a client service culture through various required interventions Support and encourage staff to participate and support corporate responsibility initiative Achieve operational excellence by supporting the implementation of business optimisation improvement through team engagement Encourage team to generate innovative ideas and share knowledge Manage performance of staff by implementing performance agreements; ensuring a clear vision; agreeing on goals and objectives; providing regular feedback on performance; recognising and rewarding achievement and take appropriate corrective action where required Mentor and coach staff on identified performance gaps by discussing these performance gaps and agree on appropriate action to be taken Motivate staff to perform and contribute to the success of the business by creating environment of teamwork through engaging with staff and encouraging participation in decision making processes Stay abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders by building capability of self and staff through identifying current and future training and development needs Contribute to team effectiveness by following the recruitment process when recruiting talent Maintain a capable high performing team and ensure an environment for optimal performance is created by identifying talent pool through conducting career conversations; utilising the talent grid principles and developing talent retention programme Ensure self and staff understand and embrace the Nedbank Vision and Values by leading by example and re-enforcing values during meetings Manage the on boarding process of new employees by ensuring execution of preparations according to the on-boarding check-list Manage team output through capacity planning; and work and resource allocation Manage delivery against expectations through coaching or performance managing individuals/team Improve team efficiency by reviewing delivery methodologies and control processes and improving on them where required Provide optimal software release environment by adhering to relevant policies; procedures and standards Make decisions by utilising network of references; conducting research on industry best practices and applying subject matter expertise Core Resposibilities Technologies Used Essential Qualifications - NQF Level Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Preferred Qualification Diploma: Information Technology , Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Essential Certifications Certificate in specific area of programming where available Minimum Experience Level 1-4 years programming experience Technical / Professional Knowledge Administrative procedures and systems Data analysis Microsoft Office Relevant regulatory knowledge Business writing skills System Development Life cycle(SDLC) IT Data structures Testing principles and processes Performance monitoring and tuning Systems application Design Customer Focus Initiating Action Work Standards Managing Work --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please contact the Nedbank Recruiting Team at +27 860 555 566 If you can't find the job you're looking for, activate job alerts to be one of the first to know when new positions open up.
