Key Responsibilities The Role The main purpose of the job will be to assistthe members of the Life/Health Finance Team in all aspects of data handling andanalysis work with the key focus on enabling day-to-day premiums and claimsadministration. Develop and manage Business Intelligence (BI)Solutions Executing BI queries and generating reports Playing a key role in the development and testingof new premiums and claims administration system Using SQL server skills for data analysis andintegration Firm understanding of databases. Identify opportunities to improve processes withtechnology solutions, with a focus on automation. Support applications, reports and processes withability to read code Support individual and group, premium and claims administration Support preparation and loading of premium and claimsinto internally developed SQL-based system Performing account reconciliations Attend to client queries Assist claims and other internal departments Ad hoc tasks and reporting as required from time totime Qualifications & Experience Degreein Computer Science or Information Technology or similar Excellent analytical andproblem solving skills Excellent organizationalskills combined with a high level of attention to detail Basic financialunderstanding Willingness to learninternally developed systems Ability to work in amethodical and systematic way Strong written and oralcommunication skills Strong interpersonalskills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team, deal with peopleat all levels and in all areas of the business and engage with clients Ability to work withminimum supervision Ability to prioritize,while remaining flexible to deal with changing work demands Comfortable working in a high-performance environment (Reinsurer licensed to conduct composite insurance business) 2nd Floor,Waterway House North, V&A Waterfront,Cape Town, 8002 (South Africa) Preferencewill be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in termsof the Employment Equity Act and our employment equity policy.
