Main job function: Site Supervisor Function Site Supervisor will be responsible for overall O&M Activities in the Northern Cape, under full-service structure. In the future, one more plant can be added to his responsibility. Coordinate the plant activities with service providers and site personnel in general. Follow up maintenance activities to ensure maintenance plans are applied according to equipment specifications. Keep track of plant spare part inventory and coordinate with main service provider software platforms such as SAP, SAS, CKS, JIRA, CMS, etc. Manage relationships of local stakeholders, Landowners, and Community Consortium in coordination. Coordinate plant activities with Eskom. Be aware of plant commitments regarding Job Creation and preferential expenditures. Promote plant personnel training and development. Work in full communication and use technical department support. Be proactive and encourage plant team to look for innovative solutions and procedures for O&M. Work to meet plant KPIs such as availability, plant production, Zero accidents, budgets for plant O&M cost, and others. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical-scientific field accredited by recognized South Africa Council or Institute; Professional Engineer is preferential. At least 5 years work experience in the wind industry or similar technical role in Operation and Maintenance of wind farms. Knowledge of national and international contracts for services and materials in the energy sector. Experience in operation and maintenance of HV/MV equipment&systems. GMR2.1 Certify formation. Government Certificate of Competency will be advantageous. Knowledge in the grid code compliance of South Africa is advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Country Language; Ability and willingness to travel and take temporary assignments in different locations in South Africa. Criteria: Manage Maintenance and Operations of two Wind Energy Facilities: Coordinate plant activities following Safety, Environment, and Quality rules and procedures, aiming to ensure zero accidents in our duties. Manage with support from your plant subordinates to plan and execute scheduled and corrective maintenance works. Coordinate, supervise, and report on site contractors' daily activities. Make available traceable maintenance and inspection progress statistics and reports. Provide communication platforms for supporting departments (Local Control Room [LCR], Technical Support, Performance improvement departments, auditors, HR and HSEQ). Coordinate Technical and/or Operational Meetings with the OM Contractors. Manage plant contractors (WTG, EBOP, CBOP, small services, others). Manage relationships of local stakeholders, Landowners, Community Consortium. Coordinate Job Creation and preferential expenditures with the Community Liaison Officer (CLO). Utilize support of the Technical Departments (OMI, P&C, WCC) to share and escalate technical problems and look for solutions. Utilize provided Plant Management Software Tools to benefit productivity and efficiency improvement. Provide innovations and implement strategies to improve safety, productivity, reliability, and local service providers. Manage plant logistics and warehouse spare parts. Coordinate plant activities to maintain plant equipment contractual availability and push to always over develop maintenance schedules in conjunction with adhering to OEM specifications. Carry out all legal aspects for plant equipment, Liaising with Eskom, local municipality and community liaison officer; Technology Support Engineers, and the LCR in terms of plant uptime and activities being carried out in the plant. Manage plant personnel as such as to create opportunities for their development looking for getting their best effort for the plant activities. Structuring personnel, fleet, and Technology Services to support and respond to plant operations at any given time. Manage contracts issued, from Security, Substation Services, Road, building maintenance, and plant maintenance services and others similar to ensure the best results. Finance application and monthly reporting. Carry out MV/HV switching operations for maintenance and inspection purposes. Provide statutory compliant machinery, equipment, and facilities. Perform regular traceable inspections of quality and safety of the plant equipment/assets. Prepare plant reports to keep O&M fully informed about plant performance, results, and criticalities, others necessary to better run the plant. Parts of the Technology equipment are automated, therefore ensuring all components pertaining to plant and substation communications are in order (including spares), collecting, quantifying data from different systems.
