About the roleWe are looking for an RD&A Technologist to join our Kerry team in South Africa.Work location: Hiillcrest, DurbanReporting to: RD&A Senior ScientistKey responsibilitiesBeverage development and application functionWork with in-house flavour systems and ingredients eg: texturants, emulsifiers and juice powders and plant-basedVisit key beverage customers regularly and troubleshoot where requiredProactively initiate new innovative concepts in collaboration with marketing and business developmentManage flavour and beverage application labs in terms of equipment purchase and raw materialsKeep up to date with industry legislation, technologies and innovationsWork closely with mixologist and food service team to grow the QSR business on syrups and powder mixers.Support customers at production Qualifications and skillsBachelor’s degree in Food Science or B.Tech in Food TechnologyAt least 2 years work experience in RD&A various roles within a regulated food / ingredients industry.Mix of office, laboratories and production/ processing experienceUnderstanding of the current market and customersAbility to build and maintain relationshipsUp to date knowledge of key competitors and their activities within the regionWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivateBeware of scams online or from individuals claiming to represent us.
