The Driver Staffing Manager supports our operations control hub by managing all aspects of the driver team within the operations department. This includes managing driver hours from eco time, leave recording and management, and driver communication with HR and senior management. Updating the system and ensuring all data captured is correct and updated Rostering according to Bargaining council requirements or similar legislation prescriptions.The Driver Staffing Manager shall provide administrative support across the full range of driver affairs. They will create and generate a monthly roster in advance, handle drivers requesting changes to the roster, leave, and absenteeism, and ensure that all driver hours remain within the statutory limits and company guidelines. Monitor and track hrs on eco-time daily and make alterations and changes to the records as required. Work closely with HR and Payroll to deliver service to the driver team and various other business departments. They are responsible for knowing and continuously updating their knowledge of bargaining council rules and other legislation. They support management and perform a variety of tasks related to employee record-keeping within the operations department. Handling of sensitive employee and company information, which requires that they maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.Duties & Responsibilities:2.1. Be the first point of contact for all driver-related queries2.2. Administer documentation, such as rosters, leave applications, sick certificates, license and pdp renewals, claims, and grievances lodged, and arrange drivers to come into the office for meetings with relevant departments2.3. Ensure the relevant database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation. This includes the hours, absenteeism and leave registers.2.4. Assist in queries and referral or escalation to the relevant departments2.5. Compiling the daily and monthly reports2.6. Daily Capturing of hrs and attendance registers2.7. Generate monthly roster and make changes2.8. Communicate with the scheduler on driver availability, absenteeism, standby drivers, and changes2.9. Recording of all leave, absenteeism, and late coming2.10. Fatigue management2.11. Collaboration with team2.12. Communication with drivers regarding roster2.13. Communication with hub2.14. Verification of hrs and communicating with payroll regarding discrepancies2.15. Dispatching of phones and driversKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:3.1. Administrative Skills,3.2. Experience of maintaining comprehensive records3.16. Experience of prioritising workload, time management and dealing with conflicting priorities3.17.
