Develop and maintain application code primarily written in C++, but also in other languages in which you have experience.List of duties include but are not limited to:Application development and support using C++ and Delphi, C#, VBS, SQLDevelopment of applications written by and/or supported by ProphetGathering information by talking to customers, project managers and other staff to form a specification of a modification given a brief of the requirementInteract with customers for fault resolution and training on new and modified systemsBeing on 24/7 call on the rota (typically 4-6 times per year for one week at a time)Help to train other staff in-house, bring junior programmers up to speed and be available to assist other programmers in areas that they’re less familiar withSite visits will be requiredAny other related tasks as required by the line managerJob Specifications, Standards and Requirements:Essential skills are: C++, SQL.Desirable: ability to work in a team and also alone on a specific project.Good customer-facing manner.
