My client, an innovative engineering concern, located in the Helderberg area, is seeking to employ a Financial Manager. Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Manager is primarily responsible for providing accurate and timely company records by managing the accounting function. Duties include owning the financial close process and producing financial statements and reports to guide decision-making. Responsibilities include: Monthly reporting done accurately and timeously All statutory reporting and submission done Payments reviewed for processing and release Stock management process managed effectively Managing of subordinates – Local Creditors Clerk, Debtors Clerk, Financial Accountant, Cash Controller and Foreign Creditors Clerk (Junior Accountant) managed effectively Ensure adherence to company Delegation of Authority Systems and procedures implemented and enforced Risk mitigation in terms of finances, processing and department ERP management Internal and external audits completed within designated timeframes. Fixed Asset Register – register up to date, items labeled with barcoded label, documentation retained (invoice&approval) Providing a supporting function to CFO and subordinates Ensuring Company FICA compliancy – processes, reporting and audits. Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent qualification (Completed articles) CA(SA) Preferred 5 years’ experience in similar position Basic accounting principles Zoho Accounting (or other ERP system within manufacturing environment) Advance Excel Skills Strong knowledge of IFRS and all related company taxes would be added advantage Highly analytical and ability to apply judgement Ability to work independently and drive delivery Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to build and maintain working relationships Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks Implement appropriate financial processes and procedures High level of ethics and integrity Please note: This position will be office based Based in Somerset West, Helderberg Personnel was establishedin 1998.
