Duties & ResponsibilitiesENVIRONMENT:A rapidly expanding Telecoms Specialist seeks a seasoned and motivated Account Executive to join their New Business Team. In this role, your main objective will be to assess leads and cultivate fresh sales within the South African Automotive Industry. Your contribution to the sales pipeline will be pivotal as you identify prospective clients, establish connections, and foster opportunities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, driven by results, and demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. A minimum of 3 years' proven experience in sales development or a comparable field is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline. Proficiency in Afrikaans is essential. DUTIES: Lead Generation and Qualification:Research and identify potential customers through various channels, including online research, social media, and industry events.Utilise prospecting tools and techniques to build a robust pipeline of leads.Collaborate with marketing teams to leverage inbound lead generation efforts.Initial Outreach and Engagement:Reach out to potential clients to initiate contact and gauge interest (outbound communication)Engage prospects in a conversation to understand their challenges and introduce them to the solutions offered by the company.After qualifying leads, schedule appointments and demonstrations for potential clients with the sales team.Keep track of all sales leads and follow-ups in the sales pipeline.Ensuring usage of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to document interactions and progress with potential clients.Collaboration with Sales Team:Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads and to align on target markets and sales strategies.Ensure that targets or quotas for the number of leads generated, calls made, meetings scheduled and attended, and number of sales made and revenue achievement.Market Research, Analysis & Continuous LearningConstantly research market trends, understanding competitor offerings, and identifying new opportunities for sales outreach.Continuously enhance product knowledge to effectively communicate value to potential customers.REQUIREMENTS:At least 3 years+ proven work experience in sales development or similar roleBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related qualification preferredHigh aptitude for understanding the application of technologyUnderstanding of lead work flows or marketing background would be advantageous.Existing relationships in the South African Automotive Industry advantageousTechnical skills required, as they relate to the use of the product or service.ATTRIBUTES:Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships.Accountability and personal organisation skills are essential.Strong soft skills required - ability to listen and present to clients at various levels.While we would really like to respond to every application, should you not be contacted for this position within 10 working days please consider your application unsuccessful.COMMENTS:When applying for jobs, ensure that you have the minimum job requirements.
