Ensure that inventory valuation and product cost transactions impacting financial reports are monitored, controlled, and posted to the inventory ledger and general ledger. Review and finalise purchase orders to verify correct quantities, prices, and supplier information. Preparation of journals for manual Manufacturing stock accounting entries. Conduct reconciliations for Manufacturing stock accounts against sub-ledger data and identify variances for resolution. Determine the appropriate resolution for Manufacturing stock variances in collaboration with the manufacturing accounting team. Initiate variance resolution with the appropriate stakeholder groups and monitor resolution of variances. Escalate inconsistent, inaccurate, or incomplete transactions for resolution. Prepare adjusting journals for entries that require correction. Review account analysis on Balance Sheet and P&L accounts. Process and review journal entries during month-end closing.
