Job Summary We are seeking a Specialist Data Analyst who will provide expert advice and support by leveraging a deep understanding of client data and technology platforms. The ideal candidate will drive and deliver on business projects, collaborating with relevant teams to realize value and support our business strategy. Job Description Key Responsibilities: Collaboration: Forge and sustain strong relationships with business and IT to align data modeling goals with business objectives. Platform Support: Select optimal platforms, develop analytical data sets, and design reporting environments to empower stakeholders with self-service capabilities. Architecture Understanding: Assume full responsibility for comprehending business, customer, and technology requirements, including associated risks and opportunities. Communication: Act as a data champion for CIB Client Data, ensuring high data quality and effective communication of data architecture designs. Problem-Solving: Utilize deep analytical and creative problem-solving skills to address complex business requirements and contribute to solutions. Minimum Education and Experience: BSc Degree in Information Systems or equivalent (NQF Level 7). At least 5 years of experience in a data analysis or business analyst role. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI, SAS and Qlikview. Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of Excel, Hadoop, SQL, SAS, Hive. Ability to create compelling stories from data, with excellent communication and presentation skills. A comprehensive understanding of the data value chain, from data management practices to data analytics.
