About Vitality Global Vitality Global, a subsidiary of Discovery Limited, is responsible for the expansion of the Vitality Shared-Value Insurance business model beyond South Africa and the UK, serving to fully leverage the assets and intellectual property of Discovery beyond its primary markets. The business forms equity or contractual partnerships with leading global insurers to integrate Vitality and shared value with partners’ insurance and financial services products in the markets where they operate. Key Purpose The successful applicant will be responsible for the financial control aspects of various international support entities, including equity investments, and will be reporting to the Finance Manager. You will form part of a team to improve and implement control frameworks, process enhancements, value-added reporting and perform the accounting and reporting function for the respective businesses. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and gain exposure to several international markets across the globe. Areas of responsibility may include, but not limited to : Month-end activities and journals Ownership of the P&L for these areas (including trend and variance analysis) Reporting to the various stakeholders, including the directors Working closely with the directors of the various entities on adhoc requests Group reporting and tax deliverables Invoicing on SAP Compiling balance sheet recons Control and reconcile inter-company billing Assist with budgets and forecasting Assist with internal and external audit Working Capital Management (including debtor’s collections and cash flow management) Assist with ongoing process enhancements, automations and value-add Personal Attributes and Skills Action-Orientated Values Driven Learns on the Fly Resilient Instils Trust Drives Results Education and Experience Education: Bcom degree (with accounting as a major) Experience: 2 – 3 years finance/accounting experience Proven record of enhancing processes and creating efficiencies EMPLOYMENT EQUITY The Company’s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
