With more than 97,000 employees, SGS operates a network of over 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Business Controller will be a Finance Business Partner for the allocated business as defined by the Regional Financial Controller in charge of full collaboration with business according to the standard policies and best practices, ensuring SGS customer and contract requirements are adhered to at all times. Candidates must have a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multi-task.QualificationsFinance Business partner for the allocated business as defined by the Regional Financial ControllerFull collaboration with the business manager and team for full understanding of the operational structure and process unique to that business.Able to assist other business controllers where necessary.Analyse and report any financial risks within the business immediately to the Regional Financial Controller.Ensure all Financial procedures, internal controls and Group Corporate Governance rules, are strictly adhered to at all times in the business.Establish and maintain financial analytical reports and business plans as applicable to the business concerned.Prepare financial budgets / forecasts with business direct input and analyze various outlooks/scenarios as requested by FC.Full PL review by cost center on monthly basis, during the financial close, co ordinating closely with the business and finance to ensure completeness and accuracy of month performance.Responsible to provide financial ‘heads up’ to the Regional Financial Controller on any deviation to month forecasted performance, throughout the month.Accountable for the correct Unbilled Revenue and Work in Progress calculations for approval by the Regional Financial Controller on monthly basis.Accountable for the Collections co-ordination/ tracking and Net Working Comments for the specific business allocated.Required to fully understand the business strategy and provide feedback to Regional Financial Controller.Involved in the costing process with final approval from the Regional Financial Controller.
