Job Description One of South Africa’s first IPPs with technical teams across the world is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. Minimum Requirements: BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical/Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering Relevant work experience of 3 - 5 years Ability to work independently, collaborating with the European technical team Knowledge of the South African REIPPP program Knowledge of procurement processes Responsibilities: Undertake technical aspects of project development Liaise with technical team in Europe to assess project opportunities and develop engineering aspects, including solar yield analyses and preliminary project designs Co-ordinate site studies and local engineering aspects of project development Develop grid connection solution for projects Establish provisional costings for engineering aspects of projects Prepare technical documentation for tender submissions: Solar yield analysis Grid connection Plant design&engineering EPC costing Project schedules Develop local procurement processes: Develop supplier database and establish supplier relationships Develop standard enquiry/tender documentation Liaise with EPC costing team in Europe to develop detailed project costings Confirm detailed Scope of Work / Bill of Quantities to be put out on enquiry Co-ordinate actual enquiry events #J-18808-Ljbffr
