Job DescriptionOne of South Africa’s first IPPs with technical teams across the world is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg.Minimum Requirements:BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical/Mechanical or Mechatronic EngineeringRelevant work experience of 3 - 5 yearsAbility to work independently, collaborating with the European technical teamKnowledge of the South African REIPPP programKnowledge of procurement processesResponsibilities:Undertake technical aspects of project developmentLiaise with technical team in Europe to assess project opportunities and develop engineering aspects, including solar yield analyses and preliminary project designsCo-ordinate site studies and local engineering aspects of project developmentDevelop grid connection solution for projectsEstablish provisional costings for engineering aspects of projectsPrepare technical documentation for tender submissions:Solar yield analysisGrid connectionPlant design & engineeringEPC costingProject schedulesDevelop local procurement processes:Develop supplier database and establish supplier relationshipsDevelop standard enquiry/tender documentationLiaise with EPC costing team in Europe to develop detailed project costingsConfirm detailed Scope of Work / Bill of Quantities to be put out on enquiryCo-ordinate actual enquiry events#J-18808-Ljbffr
