Candidate Requirements:Formal Chef QualificationAt least 5+ years of Chef Experience required in 5-star hotels or lodgesMust be able to run and supervise the entire kitchen operation for the lodgeWork with the Executive chef to ensure standards and goals are metEnsure all menus are followed and food standard is excellent at all times Support the chefs in daily supplies ordering from the central storeSupport and train new chefs on certain recipes if necessarySpoken and written EnglishComputer literateAbility to Cost menusStock control measures including stock rotations and monthly stock take procedures as prescribedby the lodge financial co-ordinatorPassion for food and the food experienceAbility to lead a team of people effectively and to think and act creatively within a teamThe ability to motivate staff to consistently deliverGood knowledge of hospitality operations including butler service and rostering of staffAbility to work flexibly and have strong management skills, day-to-day, and long term
