Job Title: Sustainable Development Manager - Mining - North West Location: North West, South Africa The Sustainable Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all mining operations in the North West region are conducted in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner. This position will be based in North West, South Africa and will report to the Head of Sustainable Development. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement sustainable development strategies for mining operations in the North West region - Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards - Manage relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and environmental organizations - Conduct regular environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies where necessary - Identify opportunities for sustainable development initiatives and partnerships within the local community - Monitor and track key performance indicators related to sustainable development goals - Provide guidance and support to mining operations on the integration of sustainable practices into their daily activities - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sustainable development initiatives with overall business objectives - Prepare and deliver reports on sustainable development initiatives and progress to senior management Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Mining Engineering, or Safety Management - Minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainable development or environmental management, preferably in the mining industry - Knowledge of South African environmental regulations and standards - Experience working with stakeholders, including local communities and government agencies - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proven track record of implementing sustainable development initiatives and driving positive change within an organization Benefits: Salary: [URL Removed] - [URL Removed] Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
