Experience: 3 years’ experience in Opencast Mining Operations Experience as a Load&Haul Supervisor will be advantageous. Additional information: Valid South African Driver’s license Must be prepared to work overtime and shifts if required. Good written verbal and communication skills in English Basic computer literacy Must be in possession or able to obtain a Certificate of Fitness Job Description: Your daily duties will include but not limited to: Ensure legal compliance for Safe Profitable Production. Ensure machine checklists are submitted daily. Ensure PPE are worn by all employees within area of responsibility. Maintain discipline within the section through the consistent application of all standards and procedures. Evaluate, monitor, and provide continuous feedback to the section regarding the performance efficiencies, standards of the section labour, equipment and targets. Build effective relationships with other supervisors and stakeholders within the operation. Control discipline and ensure fair decisions regarding Industrial Relations. Liaise with the Pit Sup regarding daily, weekly and monthly progress to plan, and employee resources. Liaise with the other Supervisors to ensure that any problems that could overlap with other sections are pro-actively identified and discussed.
