QC Inspector (Welding) job vacancy in Roodepoort.The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise in the field of welding and fabrication to meet the requirements of international standards and client contract specifications.Requirements:4 or more years’ experience in fabrication and welding (Plate & Sheetmetal)SAIW Welding and Fabrication Inspector Level 2Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 quality system (ISO 14000 and 45001 will be beneficial)QMS auditing experience (auditing qualification preferable)Proficient in Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.Strong management skillsMust have experience managing a workshop.Excellent documentation and presentation skills.Profound knowledge of quality control standards.Must have QC experience in the fabrication industry.Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, communicate and solve problemsKnowledge of QA methodologies and ISO 9001:2015 (or latest version) and ISO:3834Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain and Improve the QMS to ensure compliance to the ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 3834 or latest version requirements.Be responsible to lead, develop, improve, and implement the necessary requirements within the ISO standard for compliance.Stay up to date with current standards and practices.Periodically review current engineering/manufacturing/HR/etc. activities & processes and compare with the relevant standards.Update current policies and procedures under his/her control and introduce new procedures when required.Providing feedback to the responsible parties for the update/improvement of the procedures not under his/her control and ensuring that these are updated to comply.Ensure that where there are deficiencies in the processes, these are rectified.All deficiencies are recorded as per the QMS.Ensure that all internal and external audits are conducted in time and to the specifications of ISO requirements.Generate an Audit Schedule and complete Audit as per the schedule.Audit (formal process) the departments/sections to determine status of compliance.Create audit checklist and forward to relevant area for agreement.Carry out the audit.Write audit report and provide a copy to the relevant area and management.Record Non-conformances picked up during any of the above activities on forms prescribed by the QMS, and present these to the relevant areas for their corrective action.Scan and file all records in paper or electronic form as per requirement.Write Quality Plans when tasked to do so.Escalate to the Quality Assurance Manager if non-conformances are not resolved in time.Manage the Vendor – Suppliers & Subcontractors – approval process to ensure that only reputable Vendors are used and continued to be used in the supply process.Arrange for audits/review of prospective Vendors.Compile monthly data of audit results, NCRs, questionnaires, etc. for management decision.Identify and lead new projects to grow company profile with regards to International Standards as approved by management. i.e., ISO 14000, 45001, etc.#J-18808-Ljbffr
