About the Sales Training Consultant position We are looking for a Sales Training Consultant to coordinate and support our sales team. Your duties include scheduling and overseeing all training programs and identifying training needs. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring new employees receive proper training to meet their responsibilities successfully. Our ideal candidate understands our company objectives and suggests ideas to achieve them through sales training. For this position, you should combine excellent organisation skills with an ability to interact with your team members and motivate them to succeed. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our sales team is fully educated, to perform at a high level and increase customer satisfaction. You should enable the sales team and the Lending business units to advance their performance by identifying and building capabilities required for current and future success. Sales Training Consultants responsibilities are: Conduct training needs assessments through consultation with the Regional Managers and the Business Manager to understand and identify learning&development requirements aligned to the objectives of the Lending business unit. Conduct a skills audit/assessment for the sales consultants as and when required. Present learning&development interventions to the Lending business unit to prioritize interventions for the coming year. Develop a training plan for the Lending business unit, updating plans on a quarterly basis to ensure alignment to the business unit and company requirements respectively. Partner with subject matter experts within the business to gain understanding and insight on the need or product for training interventions. Develop training material for the learning&development interventions for in-house training. Source service providers for external training interventions and in accordance with procurement policy and procedure; this includes selection of service providers and negotiating costs. Facilitate the scheduling and arranging of internal learning&development interventions, communicate training schedules to the relevant internal stakeholders and conduct follow-ups to ensure participants attend the training. Incorporating team-building activities into the training plan to foster a positive and cohesive team culture and encourage collaboration and idea exchange among sales team members. Coordinate the provision of learning&development interventions with service providers and monitor service delivery therein, addressing any issues of non-compliance. Conduct, collaborate and coordinate internal training for technical skills, compliance, soft/behavioural skills, induction, management and leadership development. Maintain a safe and healthy training environment at all times by following company policy and procedures and the relevant legislation. Monitor the quality of interventions through enforcement of learning&development policy, procedures and standards. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders (i.e. various business unit Managers) in the delivery of quality interventions. Manage relationships with external stakeholders (i.e. training service providers, etc.) to ensure that quality learning&development interventions are provided to employees at all times. Facilitate the preparation of IDPs by assessing IDPs to ensure alignment to the individual’s performance and business strategy, approving or declining learning and development interventions, and ensuring that the approved intervention is aligned to budget. Collaborate with business on staff manual and coordinate the development of product blue-prints in consultation with service provider. Manage the learning platform through the identification of service providers, identifying which platforms are appropriate as per best practice, updating and loading of material on platforms timeously, monitoring use of platform by employees and liaising with IT on any updates and challenges experienced. Manage and maintain an up-to-date learning library and resources. Develop and implement an effective induction and onboarding program for new employees. Sales Training Specialist requirements are: Knowledge of Learning and Development theory and best practice Knowledge of Fundi sales products and processes Knowledge of MS Office Knowledge of financial principles for Communication skills (verbal and written) Change Management Sales Training Consultant requirements are: Grade 12 Relevant tertiary degree/ a Qualification at NQF Level 5/6 At least 3 to 5 years’ in experience in a Sales environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
