Senior HR Manager (Engineering sector) R900 000 CTC to R1.2 Million CTC per annum Salary: R900 000 CTC to R1.2 Million CTC per annum As the Senior HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Your primary focus will be on industrial relations management, handling grievances, negotiations, and facilitating effective communication between management and employees. You will collaborate closely with department heads, legal advisors, and external stakeholders to promote a harmonious and productive workplace culture. Develop and implement strategies to maintain positive employee relations and enhance employee engagement within the engineering sector. Oversee all aspects of industrial relations, including collective bargaining agreements, dispute resolution, and grievance handling. Provide guidance and support to management and HR teams on labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Lead negotiations with labor unions and other employee representatives to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts, ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies. Collaborate with legal counsel to assess and mitigate legal risks related to labor relations and employment practices. Develop and deliver training programs on conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, and other relevant topics to promote a positive organizational culture. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR and industrial relations management, proactively recommending improvements and innovations. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior HR role, with a focus on industrial relations management, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing sector. In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and industry standards, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with a track record of successfully resolving complex labor disputes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels of the organization. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute HR initiatives that align with organizational goals and priorities.
