Job Summary Support end-to-end user experience design, including discovery, ideation, conception, detailed design, prototypes, and validation across multiple products and areas. Job Description Opportunity in Business Technology - Integrated Channels to solution and define user experience, and support various customer-facing products: User experience (UX) and interface design for all Absa ATM’s as well as in-branch systems and tools for our colleagues and clients. Collaborate and engage with Architects and Analysts Comms and Design Brand refreshing Deliver IT Digital design services as per agreed performance contract Understand and apply existing best practice frameworks to assist in the implementation of identified subject matter processes and standards Provide specialist advice and support in area of accountability to ensure that identified solutions and recommendations are appropriate and effective Identify and recommend new innovative ways of achieving quality results Key Critical Skills and Experience Required: Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Design or relevant field (e.g., Graphic Design) Min 3 - 5 years design experience Comfortable to use and adapt to a variety of tools - being tool-agnostic is critical Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite : Expertise in design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Experience with Figma : Comfort using collaborative design platforms, such as Figma, for UI/UX design. UX/UI Design Experience : A solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles and user interface (UI) design to create intuitive and engaging digital products. Design Thinking&Problem-Solving : Strong conceptualization skills with the ability to solve complex design challenges. Typography&Layout Skills : A strong grasp of visual hierarchy, typography, and layout. Attention to Detail : An eye for pixel-perfect design execution and maintaining consistency across projects. Collaborative Mindset : Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders. Passion for Design : A deep enthusiasm for digital design trends and continuous learning. Understanding of Responsive Design : Experience in designing for multiple screen sizes and device types. Basic Front-End Knowledge : Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus for effective collaboration with developers.
