Managing Director (JB4699) Recreational Sports Facility Construction Johannesburg North, Gauteng Market Related CTC Permanent Our client is a leading provider of sports infrastructure in South Africa, offering end-to-end services in design, construction, and ongoing management. They work closely with clients through all project phases and provide ongoing support, training, and equipment supply. As the MD, you'll drive the company's strategic goals, aligning them with its vision for growth and sustainability. You'll oversee daily operations, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. Additionally, you'll pursue new business opportunities, manage financial performance, and lead the executive team to foster a positive company culture. You'll also maintain key relationships, represent the company externally, and stay ahead of industry trends to ensure competitiveness. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Experience in a senior leadership role within the construction or sports infrastructure space. Proven track record in business development and managing construction projects. Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L responsibilities. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A confident leader who can operate within a dynamic, outspoken environment and maintain a culture of trust and transparency. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement the company's strategic goals. Oversee daily operations, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Ensure operational efficiency and adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and market expansion initiatives. Financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability. Leading, mentoring, and developing the team, fostering a positive, results-driven company culture. Building and maintaining relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Identifying and capitalizing on industry trends, technological advancements, and market opportunities to keep the company competitive.
