The Industry Manager will be based atthe IMCD ‘s Randburg office, reportinginto the BU Manager: Food and Nutrition. Main Tasks and Responsibilities - Distribution of speciality food ingredients, with specific focus on developing the Nutrition Market Segment.- Maintaining the existing customer base, as well as identifying new opportunities.- Development and expansion of all market segments- Creation and submission of offers, including price responsibility.- Independent processing of customer inquiries including complaints.- Technical advice to customers on the development of formulations, including appropriate sampling.- Market analysis of customers, products, competitors and application markets- Report maintenance and documentation in the CRM system (Salesforce)- Responsibility for budget and requirements planning- Collaboration and participation in trade fairs and customer seminars as technical insight days.- Stock Management:Working closely with Principal Managers to ensure an optimal stock holding. The Candidate IMCD South Africa is looking for an energetic, dependable,meticulous person to join our Food and Nutrition Business Unit. The ideal candidate will:- - Have a relevant tertiary qualification in Food Technology with between 3 – 5 years relevantsales experience.- Experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements in the Food Industry.- In-depth knowledge of Functional Food Ingredients.- Experience in Nutritional Ingredients an advantage- Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills. - Be resilient,and able to multi-task and work under pressure.- Be solution-focused. - Have high independence andself-motivation. - Be ateam player – supporting colleagues when needed and working as partof a team is essential to our success.- Being highly numerate –giving quotes, placing orders, preparing reports or working withspreadsheets. Being able to spot discrepancies, working withpercentages and in general be comfortable working with numbers.- Be computer literate.- Experience in amultinational company on operational level will be an advantage.- Enjoy travel.
