JOB DESCIRPTION:Techmatic, a leading player in the engineering sector, is looking for a Technical Buyer with a robust background in engineering procurement to join our team. The successful candidate will ensure that buyout items meet client requirements and specifications, while efficiently managing supplier relations and aligning purchases with project schedules.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure buyout items fully comply with client specifications and requirements.Source and maintain relationships with competitive and reliable suppliers to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.Coordinate procurement activities to align with project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of orders.Conduct market analysis to stay updated on industry trends and supplier dynamics.Negotiate contracts with suppliers, focusing on favourable terms for pricing, quality, and delivery.Maintain detailed procurement records, including purchases, vendor contracts, and communications.Resolve procurement-related discrepancies and issues swiftly and effectively.Work closely with engineering and project teams to anticipate future procurement needs and project requirements.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Engineering diploma from a recognized institution.Certification in procurement or supply chain management will be an advantage.At least 5 years of procurement experience in an engineering or technical environment.Deep understanding of engineering components, technical specifications, and compliance standards.Demonstrated ability in managing supplier relationships and achieving cost reductions.Strong negotiation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.Proficiency in procurement software and tools.PREFERRED SKILLS:Project management and scheduling experience.Advanced problem-solving capabilities.Ability to perform well under pressure.#J-18808-Ljbffr
