Banking / Finance / Investment / Insurance / Stockbroking South Africa - Gauteng , Johannesburg - North (Sandton / Midrand / Diepsloot) R900 000 - R1 100 000 Our client in the Financial sector based in Midrand is looking for a Transactional Manager to enable improved profitability, market share and competitive positioning Key requirements Post graduate degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration 5 or more years of experience in a Transactional management role in the banking or financial services industry of which 2-3 years experience at a specialist level In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, and operational processes, including cash management, payments and treasury services Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends Ability to make data-driven decisions Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards Proficiency in banking software, platforms, Microsoft Office suite Financial and commercial acumen Report writing Understanding risk management principles in the banking industry Key responsibilities Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients by providing advice and assistance Create understanding of the real versus perceived need through experience and expertise while complying with the company policies, legislations and regulations Keep the client informed about progress through written communication, telephone communications and/or face-to-face meetings Build a positive image by exceeding client expectations at all times Treat internal and external customers fairly at all times Manage and develop subordinates (Performance management in terms of contracting, reviews and poor performers, training and development, employee relations Manage people efficiencies through leave management, headcount, budget, fixed term contracts, staff movements, secondments, staff utilization Develop an intimate understanding of the transactional banking sector and client's businesses Implement strategies to originate and execute transactions for new clients to the bank (business development) Create a business plan/strategy for each client and potential client Follow up on all leads, reacting promptly to requests for service and identifying client needs promptly and proactively Negotiate and drive deal acceptance by presenting appropriate and convincing arguments that take into account the needs of all parties Negotiate pricing and financial arrangements with clients Monitor the portfolio of exposures on an ongoing basis to ensure risk and exposure is managed Remain alert to changes in risk profiles of the portfolio and structure alternative mitigation or remedial plans to contain or minimize potential losses Generate and analyze reports on transactional activities, trends, and performance metrics to identify insights and inform decision-making #J-18808-Ljbffr
