Team Lead: Investigations Projects

The holder of this position is responsible for the overall management and direction of the Investigations and Anti-Corruption team so as to ensure that the department’s primary objectives of promptly and thoroughly investigating whistle-blower and other claims and project outcomes, are successfully accomplished. The incumbent will monitor, evaluate, and investigate claims received from all sources, contacting, and interviewing relevant persons whilst gathering evidence relative to projects. Analysis of all relevant data, trending, and reporting activities on projects is required. The successful candidate will assist in establishing guidelines and procedures governing Investigations and Anti-Corruption activities. This position requires an experienced leader of people and projects with the ability to lead projects from start to finish whilst successfully managing a small team. OUTPUT 1: Investigations and Project Management Strategise, plan, and conduct various concurrent small- and large-scale investigations projects. Investigate and oversee allegations of fraud, maladministration, and corruption in accordance with project scopes and in line with OUTA’s mandate. Liaise and engage with various role players maintaining absolute confidentiality at all times. Ensure that the identity of whistle blowers and the information they provide are effectively protected. Analyse relevant data and review evidence gathered. Provide expert input into investigations conducted by self and the team. Keep abreast of latest information and techniques specific to the investigative field. Management of the Whistleblower, Project, and information platforms. OUTPUT 2: Reporting Comply with proper information systems for reporting and recording of projects including the project management system, ProofHub. Compilation of data and evidence gathered into comprehensive and concise reports. Factual report writing, ensuring integrity and relevance. Prepare high-level compilations of various timelines and project updates. Compiling monthly and quarterly reports for the department. Give presentations and conduct media interviews on the Organisation’s behalf on projects within the department. OUTPUT 3: Management of the Anti-Corruption Department Annual review of the OUTA Whistle Blower- and Investigations’ Policies and Procedures. Responsibility for the integrity and relevance of the information submitted by the team. Training, growth, development, and overall wellness of team. Provide regular feedback and input to the Executive Director of Accountability as to team issues, growth requirements and disciplinary issues. Providing support, guidance, and effective management of the team. Conduct regular performance management reviews of the team reporting into the position, in line with organisational policies and procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
