HSE&Q Manager - Contract Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HSE&Q Manager to join our client’s dynamic team in the automotive component manufacturing sector on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and quality management within the plant. As the HSE&Q Manager you will be report directly to the General Manager. Responsibilities:Collaborate with our client's leadership team to develop and implement robust health, safety, environment, and quality management systems aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, risks, and areas for improvement, and work closely with the client's team to implement proactive measures and controls.Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning to prevent recurrence and promote a culture of safety and quality excellence.Provide guidance, support, and training to the client's employees at all levels to ensure compliance with HSE&Q policies, procedures, and best practices.Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders on matters related to health, safety, environment, and quality management.Keep abreast of emerging trends, developments, and regulations in HSE&Q and provide strategic recommendations to enhance the client's operations.Engage with staff, contractors and other relevant parties with respect to HSE matters related to the plant.Assist Plant Manager in implementing accident-prevention and environmental impact activities on site.Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager / General Manager.Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or a related field.Proven track record (5 years) of success in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in automotive component manufacturing.Thorough understanding of health, safety, environment, and quality management systems, standards, and regulations.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001) will be an advantage.Experience in working with quality management systems.Must be based in or willing to relocate to Pretoria, South Africa.Skills & CompetenciesUp-to-date knowledge of relevant HSE legislation (OHS Act and Regulations, NEMA, COIDA, etc.), environmental regulations and plant safety proceduresHigh levels of organisational commitment and responsiveness; able and willing to align his/her own behaviour and actions with the needs, priorities and goals of the organisationHighly effective verbal communication skills, including influencing without depending on positional authorityVery good written communication skills; clear expression of ideas or informationGood interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, to accomplish organisational goals and identify and resolve problems.#J-18808-Ljbffr
