Job Description:The Department of Building Sciences has a permanent position for a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in the field of Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Equivalent at the Pretoria Campus.(ads1)Job Responsibilities:Responsible for and provide leadership in compiling and maintaining quality study guides, subject files and other Teaching and Learning materials.To present lectures and assessment for students in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management subjectsInitiate independent research and innovation projects and seek external funding.Liaise with industry on course and subject levels regarding curricula, visits, research and other interactions.Lead quality teaching and learning with technologySupervise Postgraduate Dissertations to completionParticipate in departmental and faculty initiatives for research and liaison with other stakeholders.Participate in/ and or lead subject and curriculation committeesResponsible for administrative task related to teaching and learningTo be an active participant in the research activities of the department especially in the field of Quantity Surveying or Construction ManagementJob Requirements:BSc /BTech/Honours degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or equivalentA Doctoral Degree (for Senior Lecturer position) or master’s degree (Lecturer position) in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or equivalent.A minimum of five years (Senior Lecturer position) / three years (Lecturer position) teaching and/or research experience respectively.Industry liaison and involvement in the development of a new curriculumExperience with regards to management of academic matters, quality of program, student affairs, human resources, facilities, finances, research projects.Experience of research, supervision, and monitoring of post graduate students (Senior Lecturer)Respected in the field as an expert and an active participant in debates on current issues in the field.Supervisory experience in an academic environment.Job Details:Company:Tshwane University of TechnologyVacancy Type:Full TimeJob Location:PretoriaApplication Deadline: N/A(ads2)Apply Hereinstantcareers.net#J-18808-Ljbffr
