We are seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of mechanical engineering projects related to water treatment, distribution, and management. Responsibilities: Design and Analysis: Assist in the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for water treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines, and other infrastructure projects. Be available for site investigations and travel as needed for various projects. Technical Support: Provide technical support to senior engineers in developing solutions to engineering challenges, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring the efficiency and reliability of water-related systems. Respond to design and construction-related RFIs. CAD Modeling: Utilise computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed models, drawings, and schematics of components and systems, adhering to industry standards and project specifications. Ensure that required drawing standards are maintained. Project Coordination: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, environmental engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless coordination and integration of mechanical systems within overall project frameworks. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate design concepts, analysis results, and project updates to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders. Ensure that all work complies with quality control procedures. Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing mechanical engineering practices, and ensure that designs and solutions comply with all applicable requirements. Additional Responsibilities: Deliver excellent client service (face to face or remote). Align with the best water efficient knowledge and technologies the market has to offer and form part of the initiative to reach #SurplusWater2025. Review client profiles to ensure constant increase of efficient designs are implemented to suit the client’s needs. Form part of a dynamic team, which may require on-site training, installation of devices and general assistance to ensure client deadlines are met. Assist with the installation of water meters and loggers on various projects and locations as per client requests. The job holder will be expected to help with other work within the company as and when required for example assisting any team on site as needed. Qualifications and Skills Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other relevant engineering tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment.
