They ought to provide clear market insights for the region to improve regional deployment and effectiveness. They will lead the regional planning process via accurate sales information analysis and demand forecasting process to ensure regional/territory plan objectives are achieved. They will collaborate with the regional operations manager in developing and implementing regional operational plans aligned to delivering TMD and business objectives.WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FORIntimately understands and supports the company’s SOP process and develops and delivers the regional deployment Meeting. Provides Regional Operation Manager with market feedback, insights, and trends based on sources of data available (Shipment, Nielsen, Internal systems, External Research)Exhibit leadership capabilities in engagement with key stakeholders through behaviours and attitudes which are in line with the guiding principlesLead forward-looking, actionable insight delivery through robust regional insights resulting in informing decisions with a customer and consumer-centric perspectiveTrack actual regional sales performance against bottom-up forecast and provide analysis and recommendations to Regional Operation Manager for remedial action.Management of POS and Merchandising in the Region will clear records management aligned to territory digests that are regularly reviewed and updated.Build and maintain good working relationships within the region and intra-department to support implementation and smooth execution of bottom-up demand forecasting within the S&OP process.Continually improve the quality of regional/market insights and processes within the region to optimize practical insights to foster better regional business decision-making.ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGEBachelor’s Degree (preferably in Marketing/Business Management) 3-5 years relevant experienceExcel reporting experience at an advanced level – is a must.FMCG experience would represent a plus.Experience in interpreting marketing information data and presenting conclusions to senior management.Working knowledge of forecasting techniques, capable of both building and validating relational insightsHigh level of attention to detail, thorough analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative), rational decision-making, objectivity, creativity, and good negotiation capacity.In-depth understanding of the inter-relationship between different data sources and the application thereof in the development of business insightsStrong communication and presentation skills.Strong interpersonal skills and being a ‘team player’ are essential.Has a clear understanding of channel dynamics within SA market.Has working knowledge of importance of Brand code.WE ARE BATAt BAT we are committed to our Purpose of creating A Better Tomorrow.
