Job DescriptionOur client seeks a competent legal secretary with a good understanding of general litigation; Minimum 1-2 years of experience ideal (not seeking a person with years and years of experience necessarily). The firm is willing to train but the person must have a solid grounding within a similar role in a law firm.Duties will include Typing in English and Afrikaans, Dictaphone typing, assisting Attorney with General Administration required, Setting up appointments, Opening and closing files, and capturing information into the system. Preparing and printing documents. Diary Management. Working on Caselines and Court Online. Assist with general legal accounts and invoicing.QualificationsRelevant qualifications will prove advantageous but are not essential. Above average typing speed and Computer skills required. SkillsMust be fluent in Afrikaans and English - speaking and typing. Must be able to work on "Word" and "Excel"; Must be able to type from Dictaphone and have good speed and accuracy when typing; It will be a great bonus if you are able to work on "Caselines" and "Court Online"; It will be a great bonus if you have a general knowledge of legal accounting.
