Job Description:Designing chassis harnesses using advanced 3D CAD and 2D schematic softwareCrafting electrical systems, encompassing 3D wiring design in Siemens NX and generating 2D harness drawings and schematicsSeamlessly integrating electrical components into various systemsAssessing project scopes and efficiently managing timelinesCreating comprehensive bills of materials and corresponding 3D assemblies using Unigraphics NXImplementing effective product data management by inputting designs and associated information into PDM software, such as Team CenterEnsuring designs adhere to supplier specifications and regulatory standardsPrioritizing cost-effectiveness, ease of installation, and maintenance during the design processConducting thorough concept and design evaluationsCollaborating with suppliers to optimize design solutionsAnalyzing results to ensure alignment with customer requirements and industry standardsFacilitating communication and coordination with other engineering disciplines and project teamsSkills & Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in electrical design engineeringPrevious experience with OEM design is preferredProficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly Siemens NX, is advantageousFamiliarity with schematic design using Mentor Graphics Vesys is a plusAdvanced skills in Microsoft ExcelExceptional attention to detail is essential for this roleExcellent oral and written communication abilities are requiredQualification:Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
