Occupational Therapist (Permanent Position) We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our client’s team in Menlyn, Pretoria. The successful candidate will work in an occupational health environment, focusing on promoting health, safety, and wellness in the workplace. This role requires a professional who is passionate about helping individuals and groups enhance their work performance and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of employees to identify physical, cognitive, and psychosocial barriers to optimal work performance. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to support employees in their work environment. Provide ergonomic assessments and recommend modifications to prevent injury and promote a healthy work environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, HR, and management, to support employee wellness and occupational health initiatives. Facilitate return-to-work programs by assessing and advising on appropriate job modifications and accommodations. Educate employees and management on occupational health topics, including injury prevention, stress management, and ergonomics. Keep detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Stay updated with current occupational health trends, practices, and regulations to ensure the highest standard of care. Manage administrative tasks related to case management, documentation, and reporting, ensuring all records are accurately maintained and up to date. Qualifications&Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in occupational health or a related field. Experience in ergonomic assessments and interventions is highly desirable. Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations in South Africa. Proven strong administrative skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
