The sales support specialist's responsibilities include tracking and managing sales leads, coordinating quotes with sales packs, and providing customer service. You will also be responsible for recording and reporting on sales data. The ideal candidate has good time management and organisational skills. You should also demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.What you'll doAnswering lead/customer inquiries, scheduling meetings and sales appointments, and following up with leads/customersCompiling a daily list of sales leads, assessing sales leads, delegating leads to the sales department, and providing sales data and guides to the sales departmentDeveloping and monitoring performance indicators for sales and staff members, managing sales tracking tools, and compiling reportsRecording sales trends, liaising and supporting account managers to develop and implement sales strategiesPerforming data entry tasks for sales figures, metrics, and other relevant information and maintaining an organised and accessible filing systemManaging and maintaining the CRMHandling sales administrative duties for the company and its executives and management teams as may be requiredScheduling lead/customer meetings and conferencesReporting any unusual activity to your supervisorsDeveloping processes and protocols where necessaryWhat you'll needA high school diploma or equivalentA bachelor's degree or a diploma in marketing, business, or a related field may be advantageousExperience in administration and high-volume office work may be advantageousStrong analytical, organisational, and time management skillsExcellent team working, motivational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsComputer literacy, data capture, IT skills, and typing skills. Use of MS Office as well as ability to quickly learn how to use online/cloud based systems and toolsStrong professional conversation etiquette, especially in person and over the phone when interacting with company representatives, clients and customersClear communication and the ability to explain concepts in simple terms are used to help the customer work through problems and accurately describe products.
