Our client requires the services of an SAP Operations Engineer (Senior) with IT Degree and / or relevant qualifications, DevOps (operations, configuration/development) experience in commercial and/or retail end user IT applications is advantageous, Position: contract until December 2026Experience in at least one of the following technologies would be beneficial:SAP SD, MM (preferable)SAP AnalyticsSAP HANASAP ABAPChange request management (SAP transports)Solution Manager configuration & diagnosticsWhat will be your role and responsibilities?Understand the business requirements, preparing AS-IS, and TO-BE documents and get sign-off from users for functional and/or technical design document(s)Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of (new) business processesABAP debugging beneficial (Workbench related knowledge of new development/enhancements)Setting up the organization structure for Sales & Distribution processes and perform all relevant configuration, including Materials Management where integration requires thisPreparation of testing documents and perform internal testingPreparation of Sales & Distribution templates for various objects e.g., sales ordersIntegration testing with other modulesUnderstand interfaces, IDOC and RFC's processingPreparing the cut over strategy for SD objectsPreparing User manuals and conducting training to business process ownersGo-live preparation and post Go-live supportInteraction with clients through meetings, calls and emailsReceiving, troubleshooting, resolving and closing Operational and Maintenance tickets within defined SLA’s (Service Level Agreements).Responsible for troubleshooting issues for the system and providing supportExecuting the required changes through configurationExecuting the analysis and resolution of Production Support callsRaising Change Requests (CR’s) and writing Functional Specifications for themPreparing test data for testing of CR’s (Change Requests)Testing CR’s (Change Requests) and preparing test resultsCarrying out regression testingInteract with consultants of other modulesSteer external consultants in allocating deliverables to these feature teams and serve as a quality assurance of their deliverablesUser interface transactional solutionsAnalyse and scope End-user authorisation rolesUpdate and maintain documentation as an existing system’s functionality is changedExecution according to the Agile Methodology and attending of all team meetings, including Stand-ups, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint Planning meetings Daily use of the Agile Tool Chain, as per the updates required by the respective feature team(s)Steering of operations within the productIf you are a motivated individual with the necessary qualifications and experience, we invite you to submit your CV.
