Our client, specializing in the labour relations industry, is seeking a Case Manager/Office Supervisor to be based in Pretoria. You will manage the overall Case Management function, nationally, as well as be responsible for the direct administration of cases for various areas (currently, Gauteng-Pretoria, Mpumalanga, Northwest, Limpopo, Eastern Cape (PE/East London) and Free State. Your primary goal will be to effectively and efficiently manage the administration of dispute resolution and enforcement procedures in terms of relevant legislation and the collective agreements of NBC.Behavioural Competency• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.• Problem solving skills.• Conflict handling skills• Human Capital Management skills• Attention to detail.• Responsible, reliable, committed, and able to function with minimal supervision.• Good sense of judgement• Deadline driven.• Ability to influence.Duties include the following, but not limited to:Management of Human Capital• Management of Case Management AdministratorsLegal• Screen all dispute referrals received in relation to jurisdiction, lateness, citation, or any defect as per CCMS Rules• Prepare and process compliance orders and referral forms for set down.• Action all dispute referrals and approve the matters set down.• Record and allocate cases received with Case Numbers and open case files.• Assist with queries on settlement agreements, rescission, and review applications.• Monitor the Commissioner selection for handling all set down matters and ensure there is a selection of commissioners to assist with hearings in your regions when required.• Handle and ensure that all awards issued are perused, certified and enforceable.• Manage all set downs on conciliation and arbitration matters.• Follow up on all enforcement awards, settlement agreements to ensure compliance.• Engage and approve Sheriff costs, in consultation with the Legal & Compliance Manager, attachment and removal of properties in enforcement of awards.• Engage with Legal & Compliance Manager on complex matters that need legal opinion.• Assist legal counsel in preparation for the various hearings by availing record of proceedings when required (case information files)• Ensure an effective flow of information process throughout the Council’s departments.Client Relationship Management• Attend to walk-in clients assisting them with labour relations and legal matters.• Liaise with the Legal & Compliance Manager and CEO for any matters that need urgent approvals or settlement and cases that warrant discretions.Administration• Engage Designated Agents to ensure delivery of Set down notices to the client.• Ensure sourcing of a commissioner and venues for set down matters and dates.• Book and prepare the necessary boardroom for the set-down matters.• Ensure all information, awards and rulings are captured and updated in the SAP system.• Prepare and submit payment requisitions for Commissioner, interpreters, sheriffs to accounts for approvals.Budgeting• Prepare and handle the CCMA Subsidy claims for the Council.Reporting• Prepare and consolidate monthly reports form Case Administrators for presentation to the CEO.• Prepare quarterly reports and subsidy applications for submission to the CCMA.• Prepare reports for the CEO and for various meetings of the Council and statistical reports required by the Department of Employment and Labour and the CCMATraining and Development• Identify areas where staff require training to improve their work performance and skills.General Office administration• Supervision of the daily operations of the Pretoria office, including liaison with staff• Answering, attending to, and directing telephone calls• Maintain staff attendance register and access control register and forward monthly to management.• Manage courier services, stationery, and refreshments in conjunction with Finance Supervisor• Chairing of meetings and taking notes (includes minute taking where needed)Requirements:• Diploma or Degree in Law/Industrial Relations• 3-5 years’ experience in Full IR/Law functions• Understanding of IR and Legal matters, processes, and procedures• Knowledge of legislation (Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act)RemunerationBasic Salary R14 200 CTC.If you don’t hear from us within 3 weeks of your application, please consider your application unsuccessful.
