Our extrusion plants have earned the reputation: “Built in Africa for Africa!”As a project-driven company, we are seeking a hard-working and skilled Technical Buyer to join our Procurement Team.Job DescriptionPrepare Request for Quotations for Suppliers as per request.Source consumables, parts, spares, equipment, and services as per request.Evaluate quotations received in accordance with requirements, prices, specifications, quality, and availability.Negotiate prices and lead delivery time on orders placed or to be placed.Generate Purchase Requisitions and/or Purchase Orders.Expedite purchase orders placed from suppliers in accordance with deadlines set, urgency, and lead time.Maintain accurate supplier database.QualificationsGrade 12Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.2-3 years related experience in a fast-paced technical environment.Key skills required:High quality of work is carried out and ability to meet deadlines.Competency in Microsoft packages.Knowledge of purchasing practices and principles.Attention to detail: quality and precision focused.High ethical standard.Correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates.
