The main responsibilities of this Senior Technical Buyer position are to scan, analyze, and select suppliers for goods and services in order to negotiate and conclude multiyear supply contracts for the successful execution of the Business Plan.The Senior Technical Buyer is responsible for the procurement process, sourcing, RFQs, price evaluations, cost analysis, negotiations, and final procurement selection and qualification of suppliers. The Senior Technical Buyer is also responsible for the finalization of Contracts/SLA's and the management thereof over the contract/SLA period.Key ResponsibilitiesNegotiate and enter into multiyear cost-effective contracts with major suppliers in conjunction with Executive Manager Procurement and GM Supply Chain.Determine and ensure availability of strategic suppliers for specific specialized areas.Achieve cost savings targets on Material, ***, Non-Stock, Shipping, and Services.Develop Life Cycle Costing Models for applicable Procurement Projects.Prepare and execute annual cost reduction strategies and Value Engineering Projects.Conduct regular commodity market research, identify procurement risks, and implement risk avoidance strategies.Implement specific Procurement Strategies based on technical & customer requirements.Act as Procurement Lead during the Strategic Sourcing Process.Coordinate supplier clarification sessions and technical reviews with cross-functional teams and suppliers.Conduct Supplier Risk Assessments, Due Diligence, and Performance Management.Support BBBEE procurement initiatives.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionPurchasing and Supply Chain#J-18808-Ljbffr
