An exciting opportunity arises for a Specialist Field Guide, our client is looking for a strong candidate to fill this position.Key Performance Areas of this position include: Conduct an advanced game drive experience (2 x 3 hours daily)Conduct walking safaris (if qualified to do so)Host guests at certain meals and other relevant timesResponsible for the maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment/assetsCarry out stand by duties and other activities undertaken by guestsPerform duties as required by the Field Guide DepartmentWork independently and unsupervised for majority of timeMinimum criteria required:FGASA qualification Level 2 or NQF4 Field guide qualificationFull / Lead Trails guide or related specialist field guide qualificationAt least 4-5 years’ experience dealing with big five game and five-star clienteleCompetencies required:Code B of EB driver’s license and valid PDPSAPS firearms competency for rifleValid first aid certificateDEAT registered4x4 Driving experience preferableTrails guide and Advanced Rifle handling qualificationPeople orientated personalityGood general knowledge of current affairs both locally and internationally
